Families and Children Together, Inc. (FACT, Inc.) along with Crawford County Mental Health Center are hosting the 2nd Annual Mental Health Awareness Day on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 11am to 1pm at the Plaster Center on the Pittsburg State University Campus. The event will feature a free lunch sponsored by Ron’s Supermarket, free kid’s inflatables, over 50 vendor & info booths, door prizes, raffles, and a silent auction.
The theme of Mental Health Awareness Day is Community Strong, focusing on putting the community in touch with all resources available: business, not-for-profit, health care, mental health, community assistance, associations, organizations, civic clubs, and fitness.
This is an event to raise funds and awareness for the treatment, education, and prevention of mental illness through FACT, Inc. a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) in Kansas since August 21, 1991. FACT, Inc. exists to provide philanthropic support for mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs.
FACT, Inc. provides philanthropic support to Crawford County Mental Health Center which provides mental health services to underinsured and uninsured people on a sliding fee schedule and without regard for ability to pay.
