Appointments Project Training

When women are at the table, they bring diverse new perspectives, add value to their teams and truly make an impact on their community. The Appointments Project™, is a Women’s Foundation program designed to increase the number of women serving on civic boards and commissions.
Started in 2014, the Appointments Project is getting results with a total of 87 women appointed to Kansas and Missouri boards and commissions. In Kansas City, where the program was piloted, it has helped increase the percentage of women on city boards and commissions from 33-percent to 42-percent in just three years.
The Appointments Project now has collaborations with 22 communities in Kansas (including Pittsburg) and Missouri and has helped place 87 women on civic boards and commissions - and you or someone you know could be next!
If you’re interested in learning more serving on local and statewide boards or commissions - we urge you to take the next step and attend an upcoming workshop about the Appointments Project™ that will be held on July 14th in Pittsburg and rsvp now.
