Warehouse Manager

Position
Description
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead in the daily operation
of our warehouse which includes all aspects of planning, organizing and
overseeing receiving, inventory control and shipping functions and help deliver
best-in-class service in operational efficiency and accuracy through our
outstanding warehouse team members. This position will
oversee the recruitment and training of warehouse team members and ensure team
members are provided ongoing skills development and coaching to improve job
performance. You will be involved with
any communication and collaboration with customers and ensure results meet or
exceed customer expectations for product quality, service reliability, speed,
and accuracy. You will oversee
maintenance processes, safety protocols, security services and inventory
control to ensure that the warehouse work team, equipment and physical
assets are safe and secure.
As a front-line leader, you will have the opportunity to invest in
others and develop employees in a distribution warehouse environment by motivating,
mentoring, and coaching your team. As a manager you will ensure that employees
have all the tools needed to succeed for any task. Engaging with your team to keep
the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance and performance are core
functions of the role as well as completing customer orders through picking,
packing and delivery to meet and exceed their expectations.
Job Responsibilities
will include:
Ø Strategically manage
warehouse in compliance with company policies and overall vision to ensure
employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
Ø Provide input for the improvement
of operations and maximizing profitability
Ø Lead team of 20 to 25
employees in the shipment of on-time orders to successfully meeting customer
needs
Ø Recruit, select, orient,
coach and motivate warehouse employees
Ø Assist with warehouse
layout for efficient space utilization
Ø Assist in maintaining
procedures for inventory management of perpetual inventories and the monitoring
of inventory stock levels
Ø Ensure proper storage
and accuracy of received and shipped inventory
Ø Ensure cycle counts are
completed on time with corrective actions implemented for discrepancies
Ø Manage the
maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse facility and security
Ø Provide oversight
of delivery vehicles, their maintenance program and transportation regulations
Ø Receive
feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
Ø Ensure
productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running
smoothly and promptly
Ø Support
all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for
all employees
Ø Ensure
procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
Ø Partner
with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
Ø Develop
performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy
and quality
Ø Create, manage, and support recognition
and communication programs
Ø Initiate,
coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
Ø Adhere
to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Ø Maintain
standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
Ø Liaise
with suppliers and transportation companies
Qualifications include:
Ø Experience
as a warehouse manager and expertise in warehouse management procedures and supervisory responsibilities for at
least five years
Ø Education level would require
a high school diploma, preferable college degree.
Ø People
management skills with multi-tasking and deadline oriented processes
Ø Ability to adapt to a
changing environment and handle multiple priorities
Ø Adept
at analytical work and have the ability to dive deep into data and information
and provide
workable business solutions
Ø Strong communication skills, both written
and verbal
Ø Ability
to plan and prioritize work day, organize and assign appropriate tasks and
appraise results
Ø Willingness
to receive and accept feedback to provide the highest standards or work and services
