Every year Vie Medical Clinic hosts its annual fundraising banquet.  This year due to Covid we have had to shift this banquet to an online format.  This is a great opportunity for members of the community to get to know more about who we are, what it is we are doing here in the community, and to hear the testimonies of a couple of our clients that we have made a positive impact on ther life.

The 43rd Annual Gorilla Grind 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Rotary Club of Pittsburg, Kansas will look a little different in 2020.  Due to the pandemic and the need to keep all racers as safe as possible, the race will be virtual this year.  The race is typically held on homecoming weekend for Pittsburg State University.  This year, we invite all registrants to run or walk anytime during the month of October 2020.  Cost is $30 per participant.  You pick the time and place!  Our hope is to get participants from all over the world!

Proceeds from the Gorilla Grind 5K provides scholarships to local high school students entering Pittsburg State University.  A scholarship also is awarded to a student entering PSU Army ROTC.

Local Pick-Up for Swag packet is at the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce during regular office hours.  Shipping packets will require an extra fee of $6.95 which must be chosen as an add-on. You will be contacted via email when you can pick-up the packets.  Packets will be available after the close of the event.

Win your 2020 Holiday Party at Main Street Axe Co.

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas is hosting Match Day 2020 to celebrate National Giving Tuesday on December 1. The Community Foundation has $40,000 in match funds available for 25 nonprofit organizations in Southeast Kansas. Match Day donations and match amounts help grow endowed funds that will support those nonprofit organizations for years to come.

Match Day donations can be made in one of three ways:

• Online at www.southeastkansas.org;
• By delivering your donation and donation form to the dropbox outside our office in the basement of the Commerce Bank building, 100 S. Broadway, Ste. 100.
• By mail postmarked no later than December 2 to P.O. Box 1448 in Pittsburg.
