Pittsburg Virtual Festival of the Arts

The Bicknell Family Center for the Arts has turned challenges presented by the need for social distancing into an opportunity to showcase area performers and give audiences the feel of live concerts. 

In collaboration with PSU's Department of Music, these one-hour concerts will be streamed weekly across multiple channels as The Pittsburg Virtual Festival of the Arts. 

Performers will include:

  • The J3 Band, known for its classic rock sound
  • Dancers from Midwest Regional Ballet, PSU Dance, and YMCA Academy of Dance
  • Musicians from Pittsburg High School and Pittsburg State University
  • The Half Pitts Band 
  • Local performers Rebecca Cutler (violinist) and Robert Ensor (piano)
  • And more!

Links Fore Veterans Golf Tournament

Celebrate the life of Maj. Brian Kavanagh and join us Saturday, August 15. Our signature charity golf tournament, Links Fore Veterans, once again takes place in Pittsburg, Kansas at the  Crestwood Country Club. The money raised during this 3-person golf scramble will support combat veterans and caregivers struggling from the effects of post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse disorder. Vetlinks.org was founded by Pittsburg native, St. Mary’s Colgan/PSU graduate, & combat veteran Major Brian Kavanagh; his legacy lives on through your support of our combat veterans and their caregivers. Join us for this member guest event!
