The
traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony to kick off the 18th Annual Gift of Light,
Gift of Love Fundraising Campaign for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of
the Four States will be on November 7th at 7:00 pm.
Each year the 20-foot Christmas tree is decorated with a new design and theme. This year’s theme is Once Upon a Christmas, symbolizes the storybook nostalgia we have today for the past. Our holiday traditions are written in the stories of our charity's families, donors, volunteers, staff, and the medical community. The tree will showcase ornaments, furniture, and decor which reflect a modern take on mid-1900 century times. You'll spot kiddie car, hula hoops, brightly wrapped presents, and even Santa Claus. During the tree lighting event, the display will come alive! Don't miss seeing a special family participate in their favorite holiday traditions, inside the display, around the tree.
Immediately following the event, there will be an ornament and holiday decor sale in the former Gymboree store location featuring items from past years' tree-lighting events.
Funds raised from
this fundraiser enable us to operate our Ronald McDonald House and Ronald
McDonald Family Room at Mercy Hospital.
